DEALING WITH STRESS  (PROGRAMME)

 

This workshop aims to assist staff and managers to identify and to cope with workplace stress.  It is a one-day workshop but could be combined with our Where does all the time go? workshop to make a two-day event. 

 

 

OBJECTIVES

At the end of this workshop, you will be better able to:

 

®  define “what is stress?”

®  list a variety of potential stressors individuals may be affected by and how these stressors may manifest themselves in behaviour, health and performance at work

®  describe the responsibility of the organisation in relation to stress in reference to employment law

®  explain how they would identify stress in colleagues and themselves, and what they would then do about it

®  describe some techniques for minimising the effects of stress amongst others and themselves, and how their stress may affect others stress levels

®  list the assistance/support available to staff and managers to minimise the risk of stress in the organisation.
